Bruins’ rally falls short in Janesville

The Austin Bruins put on a flurry of shots in the third period, but they lost to the Janesville Jets (37-11-6-3 overalL) 4-3 on the road Friday night.

Austin (29-19-4-4 overall) out-shot the Jets 18-9 in the third, but they couldn’t score the tying goal. Alex Mella pulled the Bruins to within 4-3 when he scored with with 10:29 left in the third.

Alex Schilling had 21 saves in the loss for Austin.
