Stabbing victim dies from injuries

A 60-year-old Austin woman who was stabbed Thursday night died from her injuries at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin.
According to a release by the Austin Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call for a stabbing at 8:08 p.m. on Thursday in the 400 block of Second Avenue Southeast. The woman was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
A suspect was taken into custody. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was called to assist in the investigation, which is ongoing.
The victim and the suspect will be identified after family notification has taken place and a preliminary autopsy has been done at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.
