Rodger Lea Seavey, 85

Rodger Lea Seavey, 85, died peacefully at his home in Omaha, Nebraska, on Feb. 18, 2018.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1932, in Austin, Minnesota. He married Elaine Koski on Sept. 15, 1951, a marriage that lasted 65 years.

Rodger wore many hats during his life — he was a successful businessman, rancher, boat captain, fisherman and RV traveler. He retired in 1979, and his many adventures are recorded in five books written by Elaine, “The Maverick Series.” Together, they explored North America, visited historical sites and caught countless fish.
