Packer gymnasts take second in Section 1A meet, advance 3 to individual state meet

The Austin gymnastics team didn’t qualify for state as a team, but the Packers did qualify three individuals for state at the Section 1A meet in Rochester Saturday.
PIZM won the meet with a team score of 144.825 and the Packers took second with a team score of 140.775.
Austin senior Jen Boyle took first in the all-around and she will compete in the Minnesota Class A state individual meet in the University of Minnesota Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis Saturday at 11 a.m. Boyle took first in vault, first in bars, second in beam and third in floor.
Jordan DeLaMater took second in bars, Samantha Sheldon took third in beam and they will compete at the individual state meet.
