Former Lyle-Pacelli head volleyball coach Lauren Cost will take over as the new Austin volleyball coach this coming fall.
Cost, who coached the Athletics in the 2015 and 2016 seasons, is a graduate of Kanas State University, where she played volleyball. During her time at KSU, she was the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2003 as well as a first team All American.
AHS Activities Director Lisa Quednow is happy have Cost on board.
“Austin High School is fortunate to hire Coach Cost to lead our volleyball program,” Quednow said. “She brings head coaching experience, as well as an outstanding background in volleyball fundamentals.”
