The Austin High School Orchestra, under the direction of Gene Schott, was one of only two high school orchestras invited to perform at the the Minnesota Music Educators Association Midwinter Clinic Thursday at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

It marks the second time in four years the orchestra has been selected for the honor.

High school and college choirs, bands, orchestras and ensembles are invited to perform during the conference. Austin was scheduled to play Thursday afternoon.
