Ross M. Rockwell, 91

Ross M. Rockwell, 91, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, following complications from a heart attack. He died at home surrounded by his loving family.
Ross was born in Red Rock township, Minnesota, to Paul and Gertrude M. (Dibble) Rockwell on Jan. 13, 1927.
Ross grew up on his parents’ farm southeast of Brownsdale, Minnesota. He graduated from Austin High School and joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Hawaii and Guam.
Following discharge from the service, he married Lois Jarvis in Austin, Minnesota. Ross worked at Hormel Foods for 37 years and upon retirement worked for Joe Fuhrman for 10 years. Ross and Lois have seven children, 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Ross is survived by his wife, Lois; daughters, Linda (Ed) Eppler, Paula (Philip) Palacios, and Robin (Tom) Pasztor; sons, Scott Rockwell, Garet (Kelly) Rockwell, and Corey (Michelle) Rockwell; brother, Guy (Marcella) Rockwell; and sister-in-law, Della Rockwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Rockwell; brothers, Fay, Paul and Harry Rockwell; and sister, Norrine Monson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Cornerstone Church with Pastor David Simerson officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at Cornerstone Church.
Interment will be at a later date at Grandview Cemetery.
