Congratulations to three students, Abigail Bollingberg, Kayla Christopherson, and Grace Einck, who were selected to participate in this year’s Dorian Choir Festival at Luther College in Decorah Iowa, on Jan. 14-15, 2018. The two-day choral festival is considered the largest mass choir festival of its kind in the country. The students spend the better part of two days rehearsing their music with over 1,000 other high school students from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, South Dakota and Illinois. The festival culminated in a grand concert that featured Dorian Festival Choir, Chamber Choir, Luther College Nordic Choir and select vocalists that competed throughout the weekend. This was a fantastic opportunity for these students to challenge their musical knowledge, meet other high school students who share the same interests, and work with the brilliant composers and directors that make up the festival experience. I am incredibly proud of these Pacelli students who took this festival head-on and embraced everything that this experience had to offer.
