The Southland girls basketball team lost to Fillmore Central (6-8 overall, 5-6 Three Rivers) 53-52 in Adams Tuesday.

The Rebels (2-10 overall, 2-8 Three Rivers) trailed by five points with 15 seconds left in the game, but they converted two lay-ups off of steals to close the gap.

McKendry Kennedy had 23 points for Southland.
