An Austin-based, not-for-profit, vocational services organization has received the highest accreditation possible, just as it has for the past 18 years.

Cedar Valley Services, Inc., which in 1974 earned its first accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities — now known as CARF International — has been accredited for another three-year period for its community employment services. It’s the seventh consecutive three-year accreditation from CARF earned by Cedar Valley Services.

The accredited programs include Employment Supports and Job Development, Employee Development Services, Employment Planning Services and Organizational Employment Services.

According to a news release from Cedar Valley Services, “this accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.

An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.”

Cedar Valley Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization with offices at 2111 4th St. NW in Austin. It has been providing employment services in the Austin, Albert Lea and Owatonna areas since 1959.
