The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team used a strong second half effort to beat Fillmore Central (1-5 overall) 68-60 in Pacelli Gym Thursday.
The Athletics trailed by five points at the break and they came out with energy to take over in the second half. Freshman Zach Bollingberg had 21 points to lead LP (4-4 overall).
“Zach Bollingberg played his best game as a varsity player tonight,” LP head coach Scott Koenigs said. “We started working a little bit harder and hustling a little harder and it made a huge difference in the game. We got some loose balls, saved some possessions and we were able to hold them off.”
