Austin Congregational United Church of Christ will host its Longest Night Candle Lighting Service, from 7-7:30 p.m.,  Wednesday, Dec. 20.

Throughout this service, candles will be lit to remind that light is present and growing stronger every day.

“We will light candles to honor the saints who have gone before us,” said the Rev. Shari Mason, pastor. “We will light candles to honor the pain of the past and the present. Lastly, we will light candles of comfort and hope. No matter who you are or where you are on your life’s journey, you are welcome here.”

The church is at 1910 3rd Ave. NW.
