The Hayfield girls basketball team had two players hit major milestones as they beat Pine Island (1-3 overall) 80-64 on the road Tuesday.

Kate Kruger, who had eight points, set the Hayfield career assist record and Maggie Streightiff scored her 1,000th career point in the win. Kruger broke the record with her 297th career assists, passing Hayfield grad Dani Wagner, who finished with 297 assists.

Olivia Matti had 28 points to pace the Vikings (4-1 overall), who led by 26 points at halftime.
