Girls basketball: Southland’s comeback falls short in Caledonia
The Southland girls basketball team lost to Caledonia (7-1 overall, 6-0 Three Rivers) 70-46 on the road Thursday.
The Rebels (1-7 overall, 1-6 Three Rivers) trailed by 18 points at the break, but they pulled to within nine and they had the ball with six minutes left in the game before the Warriors pulled away.
“The girls played tenacious defense and they had a super comeback in the second half,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said.
