It’s the east side of Austin’s turn to celebrate Christmas from 4-7 p.m. tonight.

Christmas in the East, which includes Jim’s Marketplace, 11th Street Northeast, and the surrounding area is the fourth of the Christmas in the City events organized by the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce.

Area businesses will offer treats, activities and deals. Participants also will have the chance to win $100 in Chamber Bucks when they turn in completed passports at the end of their tour of businesses.

Passports will be available at Eagles Club 703, Hoot and Ole’s Tavern, Austin Tire, Independent Management Services, Tom’s Heating and Air Conditioning, CCI Granite and Y Waste. Completed passports should be turned in to a participating business to be entered in a drawing to win.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides will be offered in parking lot, sponsored by Jim’s Marketplace Foods and Thoroughbred Carpets and Flooring.
