Alan Clifford Larson, age 73, of Red Wing, Minnesota, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at his home.

Alan was born April 14, 1944, in Austin, Minnesota, to Harry M. and Ruby F. (King) Larson. Following his graduation from Austin High School in 1962, he went on to college at Mankato State University, graduating in 1969. In 1965 he entered the military and served until 1968. He had various jobs throughout his lifetime. His latest job was working at the Treasure Island Casino in Red Wing. Alan will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Alan is survived by his brother, Dwight (Ida) Larson of Austin; his nephew, Paul (Pilar) Larson of Waco, Texas; his niece, Twyla (James) Hedeen of River Falls, Wisconsin; and special friend Hjordes Ebeling. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Darrel.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Todd Portinga, Associate in Ministry, officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin with military honors by American Legion Post 91. Memorials can be directed to St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
