Packers go winless in Rochester tournament

The Austin volleyball team went winless at the Rochester tournament Saturday.

The Packers lost to Simley 25-19, 25-13, they lost to Legacy Christian 25-19, 25-18, they lost to North Branch 25-14, 25-15 and they lost to Mankato East 30-32, 25-19, 15-11.

After a tight match with the Cougars, the Packers (2-17 overall) will get another shot at Mankato East in a home match on ‘Pink Out’ night in Packer Gym Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

“It was a tough day of volleyball,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said. “Hopefully in October we’ll be able to pull it together.”
