Pacelli heads into homecoming week

Pacelli Catholic Schools is gearing up for its homecoming week, highlighted with dress-up days, a pep fest, hall decorations, a parade and, of course, Friday’s Lyle-Pacelli football game against LeRoy-Ostrander.

The fun kicks off Monday with Pajama Day, followed by a special volleyball game at 7 p.m. Monday in the Pacelli gym. Football players will take on staff from both Lyle and Pacelli in one match, followed by volleyball team members facing their parents in another. The final match will feature football players against the volleyball team.

Tuesday is Sports Day, and Wednesday is Safari Day. At noon on Wednesday, students will have a pep fest. That evening will be the Pacelli coronation of its homecoming king and queen, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Pacelli High School auditorium. A number of fun presentations are part of the night.

Thursday is Class Color Day, and Friday is Spirit Day, which brings with it a day of activities.

Pacelli students will head to Lyle schools mid-morning on Friday, as both Pacelli and Lyle students prepare floats for the traditional homecoming parade in Lyle. The schools will together enjoy a pep fest in the Lyle gym at 1 p.m., followed by the parade down Lyle’s Main Street about 1:45 p.m.

The homecoming game will begin in Lyle at 7 p.m.
