Austin Fire Department to host open house Wednesday

The Austin Fire Department will be giving the public a chance to explore and learn about the fire station by hosting an open house 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11.
Visitors will get the opportunity to tour the station and the trucks, see an auto extrication demonstration and spray the fire hose. Kids will be able to dress as a fire fighter and extinguish a fire.
And, of course, everyone will get to meet Sparky the Fire Dog.
