“Welcoming Week,” street project on Austin City Council agenda

The Austin City Council plans to proclaim Sept. 15-24 as “Welcoming Week” during its next regular meeting.

Other items on the agenda include approving working with WKHS for the development of a sanitary sewer collection system project and presentation of the City Art Award with former Mayor Bonnie Reitz.

The council will hear a street project update during its work session. Council members will also continue reviewing the 2018 budget.

In observance of Labor Day, the City Council’s meeting is being held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, in the City Council chambers located in the basement of City Hall.

The work session will take place in the conference room across the hall immediately following the regular meeting.
