Report: UK cash filched in Austin burglary

Police are looking for a burglary suspect who stole United Kingdom currency worth $270 U.S. dollars, among other items.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a burglary call at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday in the 2000 block of Third Avenue Southeast.

The victims said they noticed their back door had been kicked in. They told police they had ordered U.K. currency for an upcoming trip and that 200 British pounds, worth approximately $270 U.S., has been stolen.

Other items missing were a black Fossil watch, valued at $200, and a bottle of Oxycodone.

Police have no suspects at this time.
