An Austin man awaiting sentencing for a drug conviction received new drug charges on Monday in Mower County District Court.

Jordan Tashawn Travis, 21, also known as “Tune,” was charged with felony second-degree drug sale of a schedule I or II narcotic in a school zone and three counts of felony third-degree drug sale of a narcotic.

According to the court report, Travis sold heroin to two police informants on three separate occasions.

Travis was convicted earlier this year of another drug charge stemming from a 2016 arrest in which nine plastic bags, just over four grams, of heroin were found in his possession. He will be sentenced for that conviction on Oct. 12.

He is scheduled for an initial court appearance on Oct. 9.
