The Blooming Prairie volleyball team was able to hold off Austin and win in four games by scores of 25-23, 26-24, 18-25, 25-22 in BP Tuesday.
Sam Wurst had nine kills and she racked up 16 blocks for the Awesome Blossoms (4-3 overall).
“It was a great win against Austin tonight,” BP head Rannell Kittelson said. “The girls really showed determination to finish even though we lost momentum and flow in our game on set three to lose that one. We played an aggressive offense when our passes were in system and held some nice blocks to help us on defense.”
Avery Thompson had 10 blocks for the Packers (1-5 overall) and Lauryn Bell added 24 digs.
“I’m proud of the girls with the consistency of play we had tonight,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said. “We played hard against a pretty good team. The kids are going to continue to work hard.”
