Stayed prison term, probation sentence for drug dealer

An Austin woman who sold heroin twice to police informants was sentenced to a stayed prison term of two years in Mower County District Court on Thursday.

Amy Beth Wagner, 27, must serve 30 years of probation, perform 80 hours of community service, follow 20 conditions and pay $135 in fines.
Wagner pleaded guilty to felony third-degree sale of a narcotic as part of a plea agreement on May 15. A charge of felony second-degree drug sale in a park zone was dismissed.
Wagner was one of several women who worked for Melvin Hunter, who was arrested during a joint operation between Austin police and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents.
