Rosalie Morgan, 86, of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System, Austin.

She was born June 13, 1931, in Clear Lake, Iowa, the daughter of John and Elsie (Moore) Riekins. Rosalie attended Clear Lake and Mason City, Iowa, schools, and received her teaching degree from Kirkwood Community College. She met Charles Morgan in Madison, South Dakota, and on Nov, 24, 1950, they were married in Pipestone, Minnesota. Together the couple raised two sons. Rosalie loved her role as homemaker, wife, and mother. Among her favorite pastimes was painting china. Her family will miss her dearly.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, Charles “Jack” Morgan of Austin; her sons, Jerry Morgan (Marilyn Rumsey) of Brownsdale, Minnesota, and Charles John Morgan, Jr. of Jackson, Minnesota; and cousins in Mason City and Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with the Rev. Dr. Stephen DeFor officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, Minnesota.
