New Parr album coming in September

Fans of Austin native Charlie Parr have a reason to be excited about September.
With the second single, “I Ain’t Dead Yet,” now released, Red House Records has announced that his new album, “Dog,” will be released on Sept. 8.
Parr has 13 albums under his belt and “Dog” continues the trends of this prolific picker as he takes an even more personal journey into his songwriting.
“I Ain’t Dead Yet,” is a tribute to Dock Boggs saying in a press release, “He played a song called ‘Roses While I’m Living’ which expressed the same sentiment. We’re here now, we have time to appreciate one another now rather than memorialize them when they’re gone.”
Parr is currently in the early stages of an extensive tour that goes into early November with a two-date show at The Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis.
