Lloyd Llewellyn Ferguson, 90, of Austin, Minnesota, died Monday, July 31, 2017, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

Lloyd was born Dec. 7, 1926, in Austin, Minnesota, to Lloyd and Pearl (Thomas) Ferguson. He attended Austin High School. He served in the Merchant Marines for 13 months before joining the U.S. Navy for four years.

Lloyd was a member of the American Legion where he served as commander and played the bugle for many military funerals.  He worked for Holan TV as a repairman and later worked as a bartender at the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lloyd is survived by his cousin, Francis and Carol Ferguson, Austin, and their family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3,  at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Rev. Elizabeth Endicott officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery with military rites by Austin Post 91, American Legion. Visitation will be held one hour before the service Thursday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary.
