Q: What sports do you compete in?
A: I compete in cross country, swimming and track and field.
Q: How did you originally get into cross country?
A: When I was nine, my mom suggested to run the YMCA 5K, and it went really well. From that moment I planned to run cross country in sixth grade.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: My favorite memory was the first time breaking the 20-minute barrier, and listening to my time while passing the finish line.
Q: What have you learned from sports?
A: Over the course of my high school sports, I have learned that teammates are not just teammates, but family too.
Q: What is the hardest part about cross country?
A: In my opinion, the hardest part about cross country is the mental toughness in a race.
Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?
A: My biggest role model in sports is Michael Andrew because he has numerous national swim records in all age groups despite the lack of good facilities while training.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: My favorite movie is “The Matrix.”
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: My favorite subject in school is math by far.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: My dream job is to be a civil engineer.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: I really love chocolate chex, I have it every morning.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: After high school, I plan to attend a college in the Midwest and study engineering.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you or hobby you enjoy most people don’t know about?
A: I can solve about nine different rubik’s puzzles.
Q: What are your top three pump songs before a big game?
A: “Forever” by Drake, “Five More Hours” by Deorro and Chris Brown, and “Good Morning” by Kanye.
Q: What are your top three guilty pleasure songs?
A: “Feels” by Calvin Harris, “Slow Hands” by Niall Horan, and “Gold” by Imagine Dragons.
