Brooke Walter is a senior on the Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team. Walter had 308 set assists and 117 digs for the Athletics last season. LP will open the 2017 season when it hosts Houston in Pacelli Gym 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Q: What sports do you compete in?
A: Volleyball and basketball.
Q: How did you originally get into volleyball?
A: It was a sport offered at school that I was interested in.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: My favorite sports memory would be going to the state tournament in basketball [in 2015].
Q: What have you learned from sports?
A: I learned that you have to work hard and put in time to get better. I learned how important it is to be committed in everything you do, and how rewarding it is to work well with others.
Q: What is the hardest part about volleyball?
A: The hardest part about volleyball is keeping your head in the game after you make a mistake.
Q: Who is your biggest sports role model and why?
My biggest sports role model would be my sister [Courtney] because I grew up watching her play sports.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: Criminal Minds.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: Math.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Dentist.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Cajun shrimp and chicken pasta.
Q: What are your plans after high school?
A: I plan to go to college for something in the health field.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you or hobby you enjoy most people don’t know about?
A: I don’t like any kind of pop.
Q: What are your top three pump songs before a big game?
A: “Xo tour life,” “too many years” and “lets go.”
Q: What are your top three guilty pleasure songs?
A: “Wannabe,” “love me,” and Sweet Caroline.
