Donald C. Ingram, 95

A memorial Mass for Donald C. Ingram, 95, who passed away on May 15, 2016, will be held at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 2000 West Oakland Ave., in Austin Minnesota, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17. Lunch will be served at the church following the ceremony.
Don was born May 9, 1921, on the home farm near Durand, Wisconsin. His parents were Clinton S. and Grace Van Allen.
He and Veronica A. (Bauer) Ingram were married Feb. 10, 1945, in Montgomery, Alabama, where Don was stationed during World War II. Following his graduation from Stout University in 1946, Don and Verone moved to Austin, Minnesota, where they raised their six children. Don had a passion for education, a great sense of humor, and a strong work ethic. He was our family leader, yet was always there for us as we chose our own paths.
Don and Verone were charter members of St. Edward’s Catholic Church.
Don is survived by his children Don, Lonna (Larry) Kurth, Mari, Lisa (Ron) Lenoch, Ariane (Tom) Herberg, and Sam (Adrienne); grandchildren, Amanda, Audrey, Christine, Brekke, Erik, Seth and Grace; and great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Richie, Brayden, and Isla. He is also survived by many relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Veronica; parents; brother, Bill; and sister, Dorothy.
