Alan was born Dec. 17, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Milton and Rosemary (Doran) Yates. He grew up in the Milwaukee area, where he attended Christian school and graduated from high school. Alan enjoyed a long career in sales. He held various sales positions throughout his career including serving as sales manager for Reinhart Foods in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, and later forming Kids Konnection of La Crosse which sold and delivered food to day care providers in Minnesota and Wisconsin. On Dec. 31, 1997, Alan was united in marriage to Lynda Lee Brant Augustin at Shepherd of the Hills in Onalaska, Wisconsin. Alan developed an excellent reputation for his knowledge and honesty in his antique business, Antiques To Rummage, of Brownsdale. Al was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Brownsdale. He loved his Savior and knew he would one day be with Him in Heaven. Blessed be to God. Everyone who knew Alan loved him, and will remember him for his exuberant laugh.
