Another round of stories and discussion is on tap at Sweet Reads Books and Candy Store.
This week’s theme for Saturday’s Sweet Storytime is animals, and parents and children are invited to come in costume at 10 a.m. for story reading and activities. Sweet Reads is working with Matchbox Theatre to provide these events.
Then next week, author and LeRoy native Brandon Vreeman will be at the store for an author meet and greet for next week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He is the author of children’s book “The Ball That Didn’t Like to Bounce.” He will be giving insight to building leaders at a young age, and teachers, parents and daycare providers are encouraged to attend.
“Developing leaders for a better future,” Vreeman said in a press release. “Kids start learning who they are as a person at a young age. Books are an amazing way to help them to develop the skills they will need for the rest of their lives. Leaders aren’t born. They are developed.”
Every Saturday from now until the beginning of school. Participants are encouraged to dress up for the events.
The themes for the July 29 Saturday storytime is pirates.
