Relay for Life is Saturday

Along with its traditional docket of events, the Mower County Relay for Life will feature entertainment from 2 p.m. Saturday into the late evening.
This year’s Relay for life, which runs from 2 p.m. Saturday until a closing ceremony at 1:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, will feature at least five acts like musicians Blooming Prairie’s Stix of Fury, Dunnell Lenort and Lee Swenson, and it will even feature zumba at 10:30 p.m. with Sarah Rodriguez.
The annual Relay for Life of Mower County will begin at 2 p.m. will be held at the Mower County Fairgrounds.
This year’s goal for fundraising is $60,000, and 15 teams will be featured during the event that raises funds for the American Cancer Society, and its support of patients, families and research.
Luminaria are $10 each, which are purchased and lighted during the evening hours in memory of those who fought the disease.
