Express take down Blue Sox

The Austin Blue Sox ran into a rough patch as they fell to Elko (10-5 Section 1B) by a score of 13-1 in eight innings in Marcusen Park Tuesday.
Austin (2-9 Section 1B) was within 5-1 after six innings, but the Express broke things open with three runs in the seventh and they added a grand slam in the eighth to enact the 10-run rule.

“This game got away from us, but we battle with the guys we get,” Blue Sox manager Brandon Rector said. “We’re just trying to win ball games. Hopefully we can turn it on and be ready for the playoffs.”
The Blue Sox scored their lone run when Clay Eustice had an RBI single in the third inning to bring Austin within 4-1.
