Training Day; Austin, Brownsdale FD’s participate in training burn

Austin and Brownsdale fire departments came together Saturday for a training burn in rural Mower County, between Brownsdale and Lansing.
Firefighters took turns knocking down the flames in training scenarios before finally letting the structure go.
This coming Saturday, look to the Herald to not only see the process firefighters used to train, but get an inside look at what firefighters see when battling a house fire.
