Hwy. 218 N. work delayed
Plans to work on concrete approach panel repairs on Highway 218 north in Austin are being delayed a week and are scheduled to begin June 19, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
When the work begins on June 19 the left lanes in each direction will be closed, but traffic will continue to use the road while MnDOT crews conduct repairs. The work is expected to extend the life and safety of the roadway.
Work is expected to be completed later this month.
MnDOT bridge inspectors will conduct also a detailed inspection on portions of the bridge. This will require short-term lane closures on Interstate 90 in both directions.
