City of Austin Street Department

The City of Austin is accepting applications for a Chauffeur position in our street department. This entry-level position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance work and equipment operation in the areas of construction, maintenance, repair and replacement of City streets. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, valid state driver’s license with Class A CDL Certification, plus 3 years’ experience in construction, maintenance or repair.  Wage range is $20.14 – $23.98 (2016 wage rates), and includes a complete benefit package.
