Southland baseball team knocks off Awesome Blossoms
The No. 3 seeded Southland baseball team knocked off No. 6 Blooming Prairie 7-0 in a Section 1A West quarterfinal in Adams Thursday.
Bret Matthews pitched six scoreless innings for the Rebels (11-8 overall) to get the win and Carl Mueller was three-for-three had two doubles and two RBIs.
Ethan Arett was two-for-three for BP (4-16 overall).
The Rebels will play No. 2 seeded United South Central in 10 a.m. Saturday in Riverland Community College.
