Lakeville says 3 foxes on 10 acres is enough
LAKEVILLE — A Lakeville woman who says she rescues foxes from fur farms may lose her permit to keep the animals on her 10-acre property.
The city says Mikayal Raines has too many foxes on her property. She’s allowed to keep three foxes.
Raines tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press he has five foxes and three babies which she is bottle feeding. The 22-year-old says she plans to ask the city to amend her permit and allow her to keep the animals since her property is zoned agricultural.
A city planning commission holds a hearing on the permit violation Thursday evening.
