Jerry Allen Olson, 45, died Friday, April 28, 2017, at his home in Austin, Minnesota.

Jerry was born Feb. 16, 1972, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, to Bonnie McConnell and Dennis D. Olson. He worked as a mechanic in Elk River, Minnesota, and graduated from Riverland Community College Truck Driving Program.

Jerry loved driving nationwide for 10 years up until receiving a pacemaker/defibrillator. He loved “loud” music, eagles and skulls. Jerry cherished his numerous friends and he had a heart of gold.

Survivors include his parents Bonnie and Nolan McConnell; children, Brittany Nelson, Christofer Olson, Alexia Olson, and Carla Maki; grandchildren, Carollynn Myshell and Jada Ann;  brothers and sisters,  Michael Olson (Crystal Paulson), Austin, Susan Olson, Austin, Heidi McConnell, St. Paul, and Chrystal Varnadore, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Olson; and grandparents, Lester and Thelma Wittnebel and Ole and Lorranne Olson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Forbes officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
