Calling all used books.

The Friends of the Austin Public Library are seeking donations of gently used books for its annual spring sale.

Books can be brought to the small meeting room of the library, where volunteers will sort them before the sale, which will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 5 and 6 with a bag sale from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 6 for $4 per bag.

The sale is held twice a year in the fall and the spring in the two meeting rooms at the library. The sale features books for adults, children and young adult books, as well as DVDs, VHS tapes, music and audio tapes.

Books donated to the sale can’t be damaged, and the library doesn’t accept textbooks for the sale.

The money raised will benefit the library and AAUW’s scholarship fund.
