Faribault blanks Austin softball team

The Austin softball team had plenty of chances, but it wasn’t able to turn them into runs as it lost 6-0 to Faribault (2-0 overall, 2-0 Big Nine) on the road Thursday.
The Packers (2-5 overall, 0-4 Big Nine) stranded 12 runners on base in the loss and they left the bases loaded twice.
“It was just one of those nights tonight,” Austin head coach Al Eckmann said. “We’re getting better, we’ve just got to get some runs in.”
Hannah McMasters was two-for-four for the Packers.
