Bulldogs edge out Vikings baseball team

The Hayfield baseball team struggled at the plate as it lost to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (3-2 overall) 3-2 in Hayfield Monday.
The Vikings (2-3 overall) had eight hits in the loss, but they struck out 11 times.

“We’ve got to find a way to put the ball in play more often,” Hayfield head coach Kasey Krekling said.
The Vikings pulled to within 3-2 in the fifth when Jake Olive was hit by a pitch and scored on a JWP error, but they couldn’t get any closer.
