Blooming Prairie baseball team scores its first win

The Blooming Prairie baseball team picked up its first win of the season when it beat New Richland-HEG (2-6 overall, 1-5 Gopher) 12-9 in BP Thursday.
Brad Staska hit a homer and he knocked in four runs for BP (1-3 overall, 1-2 Gopher).
BP had seven hits and zero errors in the win.
“For the first time this year everybody was making good contact,” BP head coach Matt Kittelson said. “Unfortunately sometimes they were right at somebody, but it was probably by far our best hitting performance of the year and we played really good defense.”
