Beverly June Smith, 89, died March 13, 2017, in Austin, Minnesota.

She was born in LeRoy, Minnesota, on June 2, 1927, to Dale and Alma (Hanson) Smith. The family moved to Austin in 1929, where she resided until her death. She graduated from Austin High School, the Austin Teacher Training Department and Mankato State University. She taught in rural schools, first in Oakland, Minnesota, and then at Sumner Elementary School in Austin until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

She will be sadly missed by her family and all of those whose lives she touched.
