The Austin baseball team ran into a tough opposing pitcher as they lost 7-0 to Red Wing (3-3 overall, 3-1 Big Nine) on the road Tuesday.
The Packers (2-4 overall, 2-2 Big Nine) mustered just one hit in the loss.
“We were one-hit tonight by their ace,” Austin head coach Joe Kroc said. “He was very effective hitting spots and mixing speeds. We came out flat and were down early. Several players battled and hat good at-bats but we just didn’t find the barrel enough to put pressure on them.”
