After 14 years of ownership, Sharon Teigen will close the doors of the Edge Salon.

The closing will take place at the end of the month, she said. The shop is located on First Street Northwest, behind Steve’s Pizza.

However, Teigen will continue to be involved in the salon business: Beginning in April, she will lease a chair in the Progressive Hair, on Fourth Street Northeast.

“It’s time to retire from salon-owning end of things,” she said, adding that her new position, “will allow me to return to the thing I love to do most” and not worry about the responsibilities that come with owning a business.

Her stylists will find new positions. Autumn Jurgensen will also be working from the Progressive salon, while Jayna Aldrich will be working at Cedar Valley Services.
