A 45-year-old Austin man is in custody for allegedly selling drugs near an Austin school.

Dion Edward Wadley was arrested on Tuesday and is facing potential charges of felony second-degree drug sales of heroin near a school zone.

At 1:52 p.m. on Tuesday, police executed a search warrant of Wadley’s residence in the 1800 block of East Oakland Avenue after a two-month investigation.

Staff of nearby Neveln Elementary School was notified of the search warrant to ensure the safety of the students.

Wadley is being held at the Mower County jail pending charges.
