Daniel Paul Maly, 58, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Dan was born May 30, 1958, in Austin to Loddy II and Patricia (Gerhart) Maly. He attended Austin High School and later vocational college for heating, air conditioning, and refrigerant.
Dan married Barbara Gardner and adopted her oldest son, Tony.
Dan spent much of his time with family and friends, and in the recent years had been taking care of his mother, Pat.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Gardner) Maly; mother, Patricia (Gerhart) Maly; nephews, Chris Maly and Matthew (Heather) Maly; great-nephews, Isaac Price, Christopher Price, Kevin Price, Cayden Maly, James Maly, and Lukas Maly; great-niece, Paige Maly; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Loddy Maly II; grandparents, Loddy Maly I (Alice); son, Tony Maly; brother, Loddy Maly III; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Mayer Funeral Home.
