For the second year, Austin Public Schools earned the distinction as a top 10 school in the national Digital School Districts Survey.
Now in its 13th year, the Digital School Districts Survey Awards recognize exemplary use of technology by school boards and districts. The awards are presented by the Center for Digital Education at the National School Boards Association annual conference each spring.
Austin placed ninth in the mid-sized district category, which includes schools with between 3,000 and 12,000 students.
With an emphasis on technology in the classroom through 1:1 initiatives and technology integration support, APS has grown to be a leader in educational technology, according to officials.
